With the Brooklyn Nets, Dennis Schroder had a great start to the season.
After being moved to the Golden State Warriors in December, he had a brief stint with the team before joining the Detroit Pistons just before the trade deadline on Thursday.
In a five-team trade, the Detroit Pistons announced today that they have acquired guard Dennis Schröder, wing Lindy Waters III, and a future second-round pick from the Golden State Warriors. Additionally, the team sent out a future second-round pick and KJ Martin, who was originally acquired from the Philadelphia 76ers along with two second-round picks, to the Utah Jazz” (Pistons.com). The team has waived wing Wendell Moore Jr. in a related move.
In an Instagram post, the Warriors wished Schroder and the other players they traded luck.
From The Warriors: “I want to thank Lindy, Dennis, and Kyle.
Best wishes for your upcoming chapters.

Wasn’t even worth my own post, huh? he wrote. Thanks as well, though.
Despite his skill as a player, Schroder only played in 24 games with the Warriors.
He shot 37.5% from the field and 32.2% from three-point range during that time, averaging 10.6 points, 2.3 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.0 steals a game.
In the 24 games, the Warriors only finished 11–13.
Schroder is joining the Pistons, who are currently the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference after going 26-26 in 52 games.
