According to recent speculations, it seems quite probable that Matthew Stafford will rejoin the Los Angeles Rams for the 2025 season.
According to reports, quarterback Matthew Stafford seems “more likely” to be sticking with the Los Angeles Rams ahead of the 2025 season after a few trade rumors and speculations. A few weeks ago, the quarterback was allowed to communicate with other league teams in order to assess trade offers and potential future contract values. However, sources say it’s getting closer to the Rams bringing Stafford back for the 2025 campaign.
Sean McVay, the head coach of the Rams, discussed the matter earlier in the week on the podcast “Fitz and Whit.” In which he stated his wish for Stafford to continue serving as the team’s leader and signal caller as they try to win another Super Bowl.
“There’s no discrepancy on us wanting him [Stafford] to continue to lead the way and be our quarterback,” McVay added. Although there are indications that Stafford will probably stay with the Rams, the unpredictable nature of NFL offseason transactions does not ensure this.
Stafford was the starting quarterback for the Georgia Bulldogs from 2006 to 2008 prior to his long NFL career. Stafford became one of the sport’s top arm talents while attending Athens, and as a result, he was selected first overall in the 2009 NFL Draft.
Stafford will be starting his 17th season in the league and hopes to end his career with another Super Bowl win, regardless of the team he plays for.
