Romano claims that Chelsea and Dortmund have reached an agreement for Gittens, who will sign a seven-year contract after a medical on Saturday.
According to Jacobs, Gittens will cost Chelsea around £55 million, including add-ons.
The 20-year-old’s efforts for Dortmund last season catapulted him to fame. He scored 12 goals in 49 games across all competitions.
Manchester United, who are hoping to let go of Garnacho this summer, is devastated that Chelsea has agreed to a deal with Dortmund for the English talent.
Gittens may stop pursuing Garnacho as a result of their relocation.
The 20-year-old Argentine has made 144 senior appearances for Manchester United since leaving Atletico Madrid to join the team’s youth program.
He scored 11 goals in 55 games the previous season.
