Mark Pope, the head coach of Kentucky, met with political leaders in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday to talk about concerns pertaining to college basketball.
Pope spoke with James Comer, the chairman of the Oversight Committee and a congressman from Kentucky. Pat Kelsey, Kenny Brooks, Mitch Barnhart, and Josh Kattus, a football player from the United Kingdom, joined him.
Comer said on X, “I am honoured to welcome Coach Mark Pope of the University of Kentucky to my Congressional office to discuss college (basketball) issues.” “Coach Pope’s efforts for (Big Blue Nation) are excellent.”
