This summer, the former X Factor contestant and music singer will perform the main role at the Aldwych Theatre.
Fleur East, who shares the titular role in TINA – The Tina Turner Musical with current lead Karis Anderson, has been announced as the new Tina Turner at the Aldwych Theatre. Performance dates may change during the singer and TV and radio host’s short engagement, which runs from June 24 to September 13. On the show’s official website, viewers will be able to see which shows East is airing.
With its booking term extended to January 2026, TINA: The Tina Turner Musical is now officially the longest-running production to ever perform at the Aldwych Theatre. Three Olivier Awards and four WhatsOnStage Awards have nominated the musical, which made its world premiere in London in April 2018 before moving to Broadway the following year.
Fleur East originally rose to stardom as a finalist on The X Factor in 2014. She went on to release her breakthrough single, “Sax,” which became a global chart hit. She co-hosts Strictly: It Takes Two and often appears as a guest star on Ted Lasso, making her a well-known figure on British television.
“Fleur is a remarkable talent who embodies many of Tina’s most defining qualities—resilience, determination, and charisma,” producer Tali Pelman said of East’s casting. We are overjoyed to have her join the team.
East’s performances in TINA: The Tina Turner Musical are currently available for purchase.
