Mike Norvell, the head coach of Florida State football, became interested in Deion Sanders’ idea of a joint practice with other teams.
He described how that idea sowed the seeds for what might occur in an interview with On3 Sports.
According to Norvell, “I think people will continue to talk about it as we move forward.”
Fran Brown, the head coach of Syracuse football, was the first person to respond to Sanders. He’s hoping that a game will be set up between the two universities.
Other universities, meanwhile, have not been as supportive of the choice. Many programs have chosen not to participate in a spring game because of recruiting and transfer portal issues.
These athletic departments are not doing anything incorrectly. Players have, however, left schools to attend a spring game at a rival school.
