In the regular-season finale, the Patriots gave Milton a chance even though they already had Drake Maye as their franchise quarterback. He took full advantage of it, completing for 241 yards on 22 of 29 passes. In New England’s 23-16 victory over the Buffalo Bills, he tossed a touchdown to wide receiver Kayshon Boutte and scored a touchdown himself. The Cowboys opted to make a move for him on Thursday after his performance caught the attention of the league.
The former standout for the Volunteers reportedly attracted interest from a number of teams, according to Fox Sports NFL insider Jordan Schultz. Before the Patriots reached an agreement with the Cowboys, the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Las Vegas Raiders allegedly made enquiries.
According to what I gather, the Raiders, Eagles, Giants, Steelers, and Cowboys were among the teams who expressed interest in Joe Milton since he became available at the beginning of the offseason.

It’s interesting to note that the Patriots chose to accommodate Milton’s wishes for his future location even though they had a superior offer on the table. He will now support Dak Prescott, the starting quarterback for the Cowboys, who is 31 years old and has four years left on his contract.
