Fans are really alarmed by an unearthed video of Neil Diamond kissing a fan during a 2002 performance.
A fan joined the 84-year-old Sweet Caroline hitmaker beside the stage as he performed his song Girl, You’ll Be A Woman Soon.
In what TikTok fans are describing as the “most uncomfortable 20 seconds” of their lives, Neil kneeled on the stage, touched the fan’s face and hands, and gave her a passionate kiss in between lyrics.
Fans described it as an unpleasant watch as the song ended, remarking that it “didn’t look like she was super into him kissing him in the end.”
An anonymous commenter raged, “It is the arrogance that he believes every woman in the audience fancies him.”
Alaskan Leo said, “I really like Neil Diamond, but this is pretty creepy.” Meanwhile, former admirer Seanannakins remarked, “I literally just went right off Neil Diamond.”
Big G remarked, “That is possibly the most uncomfortable 20 seconds of my life,” while Lee remarked, “As if the lyrics weren’t weird enough, now we’re blessed with this.”

“Please, come take my hand / Girl, you’ll be a woman soon / Soon, you’ll need a man,” are the lyrics of the song, which was made even more popular by an appearance in Pulp Fiction.
The Tampa Bay Times said in a 2002 review of the Ice Palace show that Diamond was “lip-locked with one young blonde who approached the stage.”
It went on: “Diamond asked the audience for a cigarette after those tender kisses turned into a very hot makeout session.”
During a 2011 performance of the same song, Diamond knelt down once more to plant a kiss on a female fan in a very identical scenario.
At the time, the Daily Mail stated that he asked, “Am I in heaven?” after falling back on stage after kissing her twice.

“I’ll be in London in a matter of days,” Diamond reportedly stated after confirming that she was from London.
Diamond disclosed in 2018 that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, a degenerative neurological condition that impacts the body’s motor system and frequently results in shaking and trouble moving.
Halfway through his 50th anniversary tour, he was compelled by a doctor’s order to cancel performances in Australia and New Zealand.
He expressed gratitude to his “loyal and devoted” supporters for their support in a statement posted on his website.
