According to A&M’s X account, Texas A&M’s highly anticipated baseball series versus the No. 2 nationally ranked Arkansas Razorbacks has been rescheduled due to the predicted bad weather in the Fayetteville area.
Game 2 and Game 3 of the Aggies vs. Razorbacks doubleheader will now take place on Friday, April 19. At Baum-Walker Stadium, Game 2 is scheduled to start at 2:00 p.m., while Game 3 will start around an hour after the second game ends.
A&M is unranked going into the weekend, but they are on a seven-game winning streak and have won back-to-back SEC series, so they are showing signs of life as the tournament draws closer.
The Aggies created history earlier this season, but it wasn’t a good one. By March, A&M was the first preseason No. 1 team to drop out of the Top 25.
At Olsen Field in Blue Bell Park, Texas A&M infielder Kaeden Kent (3) hits a grand slam in the top of the seventh inning against Oregon on June 9, 2024, in College Station, Texas, USA. Maria Lysaker-Imagn Images is required to share this image.
However, they have recently begun to regain their former form.
It won’t become any simpler in the future. The Aggies will play the current No. 2, No. 1, and No. 9 teams in back-to-back weekends beginning this weekend with No. 2 Arkansas, beginning a difficult three-series run.
Let’s just say that if Ryan Earley and his team want to make it through this deadly run of games, they’ll need to call forth a lot of that “Olsen Magic.”
Game 1 of the series starts at 6 PM on Thursday, April 18, marking the start of the Aggies’ journey to Omaha. SEC Network will broadcast this highly anticipated matchup for the duration of both days.
