Radarious Jackson, a freshman wide receiver who appears to be already having an impact on this year’s spring practice, made a spectacular catch that was posted on Tennessee football’s social media channels.
Over Tre Poteat, a rookie defensive back, Jackson made a spectacular leaping catch. Jackson displayed his athleticism over Poteat, but the Freshman-on-Freshman matchup appeared to be tough.
Under Josh Heupel, Memphis, Tennessee’s four-star receiver, wants to do something that few have done before: get playing time in the system’s first year.
If the 2024 3A Mr. Football Award winner is already shown his ability to make spectacular receptions in spring practice, he can undoubtedly be a playmaker for the Vols in the first season.
Although Heupel has a reputation for holding players back during their first season in order to give them time to become familiar with the nuances of the offence, this may alter in the future as the Vols add more gifted players with explosive skills.
With well-known players returning, like as sophomore Mike Matthews, redshirt junior Chris Brazzell II, and redshirt freshman Braylon Staley leading an athletic and gifted bunch with enormous potential, the Vols’ wide receiver room might be stacked this season.
With that trio of receivers, plus Alabama transfer Amari Jefferson and Boo Carter, Tennessee may finish the season with one of the nation’s top receiving corps.
The upcoming Spring game will give Tennessee fans a chance to observe Jackson and other standout members of the Vols’ 2025 recruiting class. Neyland Stadium will host a limited capacity crowd for the 2025 Orange & White Game on April 12 at 2:00 PM ET.
