RELIEF. Following a TWO-DAY manhunt, the largest in Minnesota history, the individual who shot and injured state senator John Hoffman and his wife, as well as killed Minnesota Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband, was apprehended and is currently in prison.
I won’t name the individual in detention because I don’t think it’s right to give a murderer prominence they don’t deserve, but some additional information regarding his case was made public overnight:
✔️ He was found in the woods by utilising helicopters and infrared technologies. Fortunately, no cops suffered any injuries.

✔️ In his car, police discovered a handgun and “at least three AK-47 assault rifles.”
✔️ He pretended to be a police officer throughout the assaults, and after he exchanged gunfire with real officers and vanished, officers discovered “a ballistic vest, a disassembled 9mm firearm, a mask, and a gold police-style badge” in the vicinity of the residence.
✔️ Following Boelter’s arrest late on Sunday, authorities stated that if police had not visited Hortman’s residence, there probably would have been further attacks on public officials.
Drew Evans, superintendent of the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension at the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, told reporters, “I have every confidence that this would’ve had continued throughout the day.”
