No one in the SEC was pleased when Alabama football lost three games in the 2024 regular season and failed to qualify for the College Football Playoffs. Commissioner Greg Sankey stated that the selection committee’s handling of the Crimson Tide and South Carolina might have long-term effects on how the league schedules going forward, prior to the start of the league’s spring meetings Monday in Miramar Beach, Florida.
