At first, it appeared like none of the four veteran players who tested out at rookie minicamp over the weekend would be signed by the Denver Broncos. As it happens, one of them did end up getting a deal.

Zac Stevens of DNVR reported that tight end Cole Fotheringham is joining the Broncos. As veteran tryout players, Fotheringham was joined during rookie minicamp by quarterback Ian Book, running back Chris Evans and fullback Jack Colletto.

In 2022, Fotheringham (6-4, 243 pounds) joined the Las Vegas Raiders as an undrafted free agent from Utah. Before rejoining the Raiders, he later played for a while with the Houston Texans. In 2023, the 27-year-old tight end made two appearances and caught one pass for six yards. He participated in 11 special teams snaps as well.

Along with bringing back long snapper Zach Triner, Denver also signed Utah State wide receiver Kyrese White and rookie tryout inside linebacker Jordan Turner. The Broncos will need to make four equivalent trades to clear space on the 90-man offseason roster after making four acquisitions on Monday.
