Labaron Philon, one of the team’s best players, has chosen to return for his second year, giving Alabama basketball a significant boost as they prepare for the upcoming campaign. Late Wednesday, the institution made the unexpected announcement that Philon would not be participating in the draft and would instead be returning to the Crimson Tide.
During his rookie season, Philon started 29 of 37 games, leaving a lasting impression. 10.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.4 steals were his averages per game. Additionally, he had good shooting percentages, going 45.2% from the field and 31.5% from three-point range.
