After withdrawing from the NBA Draft, Oweh told ESPN about Kentucky’s roster: “We have the talent to be the No. 1 team in the country.” There are plenty of guys who are eager to jump and put in the effort to help Kentucky win the ninth national title. I can’t wait to play with everybody. This year will be enjoyable.
Despite having a squad comprised of seasoned transfers, Pope’s team managed to surpass expectations and get to the Sweet 16. The roster this season is stacked with top players who will eventually dominate the NBA.
Although most people agree that Kentucky is among the top ten collegiate basketball teams, there is undoubtedly disagreement on why this squad is the greatest in the league.
Oweh’s return to school was crucial for the Wildcats, and as a clutch scorer who enters games late, he will help this team go far in the tournament.
With all of the quality in the 2025–26 roster, Coach Pope has the team to win the program’s eighth national championship this year.
